The fuel chip attachment from Vermeer changes the action of a Vermeer HG6000 or HG6000TX horizontal grinder cutting drum from ripping and shredding to a chipping action - offering the operator the ability to move into the biomass wood chip market without tying up capital resources in a separate machine.

• Compatible with the Vermeer Series II Duplex drum
• 10 rings, which provide depth control, are mounted to the outside of the drum and secured to the existing drum hammers
• Total of 20 5-by-3.5-inch (12.7 x 8.9 cm), double-sided knives are then attached to the rings in a staggered pattern
• Operators can select specialized screens and adjust the intake speed to help fine-tune the material size, shape and quality in order to help meet the stringent specifications required by biomass facilities
